About us

Satori
is a Japanese term for enlightenment. The word literally means "understanding" or a flash of sudden awareness that can also be an intuitive experience. In Gestalt Psychotherapy, Satori is used to describe the experience when one becomes aware of one's reason of being. It is the awakening of one's true nature, leading to a deep and lasting sense of enlightenement, which is the ultimate goal of psychotherapy. This fits in well with our mission to provide ethical counselling and psychotherapy to both individuals and groups.
